Summer Days
Nan Gray
$675.00
Email: ngray3356@yahoo.com
Dimensions: 21.5 x 18 x 1 Artist's Statement about this work: Imagine a leisurely stroll along a street on a summer day. People are gathering in conversation groups, walking their dogs, and otherwise enjoying the weather. That is the mood I intended to capture in this painting. It is such an ordinary, everyday scene, but is quite extraordinary when you think of the plight of those who are not able to enjoy such a wonderful activity. I felt compelled to express how extraordinary "ordinary" can be. Besides, I loved the dog!

Email: designsbymelody@hotmail.com
Dimensions: 12 x 16 Artist's Statement about this work: One morning last fall, I was standing on the side of Wasatch Boulevard, painting the view down the road. When the sun rose, kissing the top of the mountain and lighting up the scrub oak. I quickly grabbed another sheet of paper and painted this instead. I love the way the sun lights up the tree, adding light and life and hope to the world.

Email: designsbymelody@hotmail.com
Dimensions: 15 x 20 Artist's Statement about this work: I painted the fishing ship, Excellence, as I saw it early one July morning. I tried to contrast the serene blues and grays of the scene with that of the hard-working shop taking a much-deserved rest.
"The Calm Before the Flood"
Günther Haidenthaller
$650.00
Email: vonhaiderthal@gmail.com
Dimensions: 11 x 15 Artist's Statement about this work: I wanted to capture the big, interesting-looking cedar and all its siblings marching off into the distance. The sky had been ominously rumbling in the distance all afternoon, with occasional flashes of lightning at the edges of my awareness, but I was so "in the zone" as I neared completion of this piece, that when the whole sky suddenly cut loose with a hellacious rain and windstorm, it caught me totally by surprise! Frantically throwing everything into my SUV, slogging around in just shorts, t-shirt, and flip-flops, I was soaked to the skin in seconds. In no time the entire area was flooded and I was ankle deep in mud. What a way to end a painting session! I was lucky to have 4-wheel drive, to get back up on the paved highway.

Email: henryart4christ@gmail.com
Dimensions: 15 x 22 x 1 Artist's Statement about this work: The “feelings” of the places that I have been able to visit, as much as the visual appearances, are ghosts that haunt my memories. The cool air of the high mountain desert, the birds awakening, and the sun as it warms terra firma, flora and fauna alike are recalled as I revisit this place so dear to me. It is in Dinosaur National Monument in Vernal, Utah; I would be remiss if I did not mention the memories of dear friends I have made there over the recent years, as well…
