Artist's Statement about this work: I have been employing the art of feng shui in my home and am intrigued by the flow of energy I feel. I woke to a vision of this house and had to capture the image. In my mind, the colors were moving and swirling. The trees seemed to be standing guard over this house, whose structure was moving with wind and water.

Artist's Statement about this work: My goal in painting is to inspire interest in the story behind my paintings. I give much thought to the titles I choose. Once my image progresses to the point of having a personality, I want to embellish the viewers experience by introducing a name to which they can identify. "The Plot Thickens" seemed to work well, as I see this young woman having perhaps, a self-satisfying moment, gazing at the others present. I use both transparent and opaque watercolor.

Artist's Statement about this work: The Willow Creek trail behind my house always looks entirely different depending on the time of day and the season. In the summer, the sky is an incredible blue and the grass, and eye-popping green. When the shadows start to grow, they offer a stark contrast that makes the earth look like it's lit from within. I walk on this trail at least once a day and I am nearly always inspired to paint.

Artist's Statement about this work: This painting is on Watercolor 125 pound bamboo paper. The paper had a nice smooth texture to it. It held up nicely with all the water I used in the background. This painting is from a photograph in my garden last year. I used a new color to me. It is called Aussie Red Gold.

Artist's Statement about this work: I love painting landscapes, especially if they can make you look at views differently. There is a peephole at Red Cliffs State Park that looks like a dragon and I adjusted the hole to look like a bird silhouette of a bird. Nature shapes and nature views.
