This painting is about marriage and light. I love the way these two trees are clinging to each other, practically intertwined. And they are also cleaving to the last vestiges of light as it pours over the mountain tops and floods the valley below. There is so much joy in companionship and togetherness, and especially when we are both drawn toward light.
